Kate Sheppard

Introduction:
Kate Sheppard is a famous Protestor. She was born in 1847 in Liverpool, England but later in life she moved to New Zealand. She died at the age of 87 on 13th July 1934. 

Paragraph 1:
Kate Sheppard protested for women's right. She did it because she believes that women's should have the rights to vote.
During Kate Sheppard time women's were not allowed to vote, due to the strict rules. Rules were mostly held against women. Kate Sheppard wanted the world to better by protesting for equal treatment for women and men.


Paragraph 2:
Kate went on tours around New Zealand to talk about women's rights and protesting for women' rights. She also wrote in news paper to tell people about women's rights. She also did a Petition for women’s right, and 32,000 people signed it.

Paragraph 3:
In 1893 on her third petition, it was successful because she managed to convince 32,000 people to sign her petition.
Finally the Kate Sheppard convinced the New Zealand government to let women vote in 1893.
New Zealand was the first country to let the women's vote.

Conclusion:
Kate Sheppard tried and tried and never gave up for women's rights. Now you that Kate Sheppard is a wonderful women who protested for women right to vote!

Summary of The Battle of the Shark and the Octoupus!

 There was a fijian god named Takuaka, he was the guardian of the reef! Takuaka is a god that is brave, strong, fearless, and jealous of the other guards! He was always up for a challenge to fight the other guardians! Once he went back to his habitat. He met his old friend Masilata. Masilata told him that there was a brave guardian that guards Kamatuvu Island! 

 Takuaka didn’t waste any time so he rushed to Kamatuvu Island to see that feke was there waiting for him. Masilata has 4 tentacles. They battled!- Takuaka thought that death was coming! So he told feke to let go of him! So he did but Takuaka gave him a promise!- He won’t harm any of his peoples!

Writing Wk 8 & 9 - Aesop’s Fables

WALT: construct a narrative text

On the 27 of March, I was swimming with my mother and father and also with my siblings in the clear blue ocean . I went out to look for some food . I swam until I found a delicious red crab that looked like it had lots of flesh to eat . I was paddling back home but then something traumatic happened to me.

A huge wave pushed and shoved me onto jagged rocks. I felt like I could never swim or move again. More waves came....

Suddenly I found myself on a beach. Lots of strange people started to gather around me and stare. Even dogs came and they were barking at me aggressively. I started to rage with anger…. because I was starving.

People started to touch me like I was their pet. Minutes later…... A few people came closer to me, picked me up and took me into an ambulance for animals . They were driving for a long time as if we were on a road trip!!

I was taken to an unfamiliar place. I saw many turtles there but I didn’t really mind them .

Owuch Something painful went into my flipper. I screamed at the top of my lungs

The strange people put me into a deep coma. I didn’t wake up for 2 weeks. I felt better but I really wanted to be my family .

Lots of lights pointing at me. I was about to be blind. I didn’t have the energy to eat so I put a feeding tube on me. Right now I am recovering from my traumatic injury.

The Book of the Road.

First start at Pt England school.

 2:Follow Urban Route 6, Te Horeta Rd and Mount Wellington Hwy/Urban Route 6 to Roslyn Rd in Mount Wellington then you will arrive at Sylvia Park.

 3:After you finish shopping at Sylvia Park then follow State Highway 1 to Redoubt Rd in Clover Park. Take exit 448 from State Highway 1 then you take another Highway and then you will arrive at Rainbows End. The best ride was the Stratosfear.

 4: The after you have fun at Rain Bows end you Follow State Highway 1 to Penrose. Take exit 435 from State Highway 1 and he takes 1 more Highway and you make it to The Great Tong Takeaways and pick up some food.

 5: Then you can take Take State Highway 1 to Federal St in Auckland CBD and other roads and you will eat you're food and while watching stuff any thing you want.

Letter to Mrs Stone

My name is Nina and I am from New Zealand. At 11 years old, I am the youngest of the four children in my family. My brothers' names are Richard, Acera Junior and Nathan. I am a Samoan Girl but raised and born in New Zealand and sometimes went to Samoa for family reunion . I am a huge sports fan and I love playing lots of sports. I play for our School Point England. I love to play netball and other sports for our school. I also love eating pizza and I love I mean love cooking.My favourite subjects are Maths and Writing. I really like working in groups when I am doing maths like when we do Dmic. My goal for 2020 is to improve in my reading and writing and also to really really try and be a Prefect.I really like it when Mrs Stone is always free. She always walks around to make sure that everyone is happy. I would really like it if Mrs Stone could help me to become a Prefect and to help me with Reading.
I really want to compete in Master Chef to meet Gordem Ramsey and to make him the best dish that I learned from my cooking classes.
