Task Description: For this task I had to list some facts I know about the Olympics, some questions and what I already know about the Olympics. 

Immersion Assembly - Term 3

Today is the first, day of term 3. To start off Term 3 we had an immersion assembly. Are you excited for Term 3? Well I am. This Term instead of having Mr Burt as the Principal we have Mrs Nua, as Mr Burt is going to be away this whole term, so I look forward to having Mrs Nua as our Principal this Term. 

 My first highlight from the immersion assembly was Team 3's movie because they made a movie that so relatable, to how us kids act at home, in these days. I also like how they told us a story, like how to actually be fit, eat healthy, and etc. 

My second highlight was the song that Mr J made. The beat was good, the lyrics was spot on so I really enjoyed listening and singing to the song. 

In conclusion, the immersion assembly went smoothly and I'am sure that everyone at least laughed or smiled. Check out the photos below this !

Mathletics Game

 

Today in maths class we did Mathletics Game. This was one of the equations that we did. 

I worked in a group with Kiarah, Aaron, Valessa and Rae Jae. 

My group is coming first at the moment. 

My group found out that trusting each others answers was hard, but over all I really enjoyed this game.

 This is my Visual Mihi. For this task I had to pick the four most important things to my life my one are Family, Education, my religion and my culture.  I also had to draw a portrait of my self.

List 3  prime numbers: 2,7,13 

List the factors of 24: 1,4, 6, 12.

List the common factors of 24 and 48: 1, 2, 12, 24

Mr Burt has $1000 in the maths budget at the start of the year.

He starts by purchasing 650 maths books, at $0.30 each. His total spend is:  

$0.30 x 650 = 195

$0.30 x 600 = 180 

$0.30 x 50 = 15

 

600 + 50 = 650 

$180.00 + $15.0 = $195.0  

 How much does he have left? 

$1000 - ? =  $195.0

? = $805.0

Next he spends $167.70 on rulers and protractors

How much is left now?

637.30

 $167.70 + ? = $805.0

? = 637.30 

Then he purchases 5 text books, which cost $26.50 each. The 5 textbooks cost:  132.50

132.50 + ? = 637.30 

? = 504.80

 How much does he have left?

132.50 + ? = 637.30 

? = 504.80

Finally he spends $6.70 on stickers.

 How much does he have left?

6.70 + ? = 504.80

? = 498.10

Welcome back to my online learning blog post. 

You may have heard that Auckland went back into level 3. 

For Maths this week I had to use Decimals. 

Over all I think this task was easy because I did this last year. 

 

The Deca Tree

 

Task Description: Today for math we had D-mic for D-mic we had to split up into groups of 3-4 to solve out the math problem. I was in a group of 3 with Oalii, Norah Jade and myself. My group solved it out wrong, before we did this math problem we had to watch a video. The video said that when we find a problem hard our you do it wrong your learning or your brain is grow, etc. So I guess my brain is growing now:)

The Key Game by Ida Fink

 

Task Description: For this weeks task I had to do literacy with my math teacher. I had to read a story about the Key Game. Something I want to work on is to read through the book slowly:)

Quote painting:)

I made a quote painting.
I choose this quote because this quote was from the bible and I believe that the bible has the best quotes. 
I choose my background color to be white and blue with some stickers that were gold crowns because I think that those are ascetic colors and because when I look at my painting  it reminds me of heaven.  I was really creative with my painting because I didn't use a paint brush I used glad wrap. 

I am happy with my painting because I was creative with it and because my class mates said it looks unique.

Next time I will try and make it look more like a professional painted it.

Multiplication Magic 2.0

 

Task Description: Today I finished my task which was about multiplying 2 digit numbers. We learnt a special technique to figure out how to solve those 2 digit questions. We had to answer this word problems which contain different 2 digit multiplication equations using our new technique. Then we just had a little bonus slide of place value.
