Ratio Reconcilliation

 

Digital Noho

 Yesterday we had a digital Noho. Everyone from our school had a practice of coming to google meet. I think our class had the most people that came to the google meet, our teacher was extremely happy with that. 

The Explosion!

 Introduction: 

 Today, I was walking around to get my exercise of the year! It was also my first exercise in my life. First, let me introduce myself ! My name is Robert, people say I’m a humongous man that’s also very short. Suddenly while I was walking today, I had to take a gigantic poo. The closest place with toilets was KFC. I went into there toilets and there I met a man named Stonks. 

I couldn’t hold it in so I just took my massive poo right in front of him. He was pretty impressed because of the smell and how much I pooped. Then he introduced himself, by telling his name, which is Stonks and how he was a business man. He challenged me to a farting challenge and I gladly accepted because I knew I could win. We’d both agreed that the winner has to fart in front of everyone, with no pants! Stonks first started with the farting challenge and did a tiny little toot. However it smelt delightful. It was like a drug and it smelt so addicting, then I shook my head and said “ I HAVE to win this challenge”. Then I farted and accidentally went a little  over board that the water started turning on. He looked so turned on that he was about to faint by the smell of my farts. I smirked and said “ It smells good right?”, he nodded and I started to feel a bit cocky.

Then we met a man named Craig . . .

Writing Challenge:)

 Hey guys my name is Ace and today we will be doing last to leave the dangerous island wins the treasure box. There will be 5 contestants Sam, Bill, Bob, Nick Jr and Me(Ace).

We will be competing to win a treasure box, but the weird thing is that we do not know what is in the treasure box because it will be a surprise.

The first challenge will be doing is who can get a coconut and put it right here? 

Everyone went spiriting to the get a coconut. Thing went wrong bob slipped, bill cracked his head open, Nick Jr disappeared and bob went for a swim in the blue sea and never came back, Now that is weird. Well I guess I won that, now its time to open the treasure box, a pacifier, “What” isn’t that what babies use.

I was lucky enough to come first. I was really surprised because I usually am bad at writing.

Greeting Everyone! Today a Special lady came to our school, called Jana. She came to out school specifically to the year 7 & 8.

She came from a company called Attitude. She came to us to talk about us, and came with a heading that said "Who am I! She did talked a little about her self, But she didn't come to talk about herself, she came to talk about us. She also came with like pictures and had a meaning, I am a lion; a person who is a good leader, etc.

She also told us story's about her childhood.

For this task I had to do a lot of research about a Moa(bird). I also had to do a drawing of a Moa. Another thing I had to do was write three words and I didnt know what it means and try and find out what does words mean.

Narrative Writing:)

 Introduction:  

LAST NIGHT I was sleeping, in my cozy blankets with my teddy bear. 

My teddy bear is boy who has brown fur with a little scratch on his head that is red, that’s how I can tell that he is MY teddy bear. By the way, his name is  Lunox. For some reason at night I heard something very strange. I heard it from under my bed, it was like making (CREEKING) sounds. 

Paragraph 1, 

A few moments later, I woke up at 3 am with a huge headache. But in corner of my eye I spotted a bit of fur that was on the ground. I looked beside to where I put my teddy bear and didn't see my precious Lunox (teddy bear) there. “AHHHH”, I screamed. My parents came in running from there bedroom into my room to check what happened. I told them my baby Lunox is not here and how I also heard sounds last night from under my bed. I also said that there was fur from the inside of my teddy bear on the floor. “Ohhh NOO! What happened to your head?!”  My parents asked. I said I ran to the mirror to see a huge bump on my head, so I didn’t know what had happened to it ?!

Paragraph 2,

That whole night I had a ice pack on my head. It was “SUPER COLD!”.

I wondered how the bump got on my head. Suddenly, then I heard tapping under my bed. I looked under my bed and I almost PEED MY PANTS. 

I saw my little annoying brother with my teddy and a stick.

He was also sleeping with a weird smirk on his face. 

I told my parents to tell him off, I left the room saying “hehe”! with a checky grin on my face.

Paragraph 3,

My brother has weird condition. The disease he has is that he walks around in his sleep holding weird stuff and hits people with the random object. I do not know he got out of his room, It is highly secured, because my parents don't want him getting hurt. 

Conclusion, 

Now I am left with a huge ginormous red bump on my head since that incidence had happened. Now I sleep with my parents because i’m to scared to go back to my own room.

Global Warming - Literacy

Have you ever heard of Global Warming?

Global warming is a overall results of the weather patterns.

Global warming is mostly done by human activities, like people like to burn fossil fuels.

Human Activity.

I have done my research and found out that between 95% and 100 %  global warming is mostly caused by human activities. People like to cut down tree by the root which releases one of the greenhouse gas, Carbon dioxide. Another thing people do is use power  tons of power, you could fix that problem by powering your home your with a renewable energy. The four main Greenhouse gases are Carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and fluoridated.

What those global warming do to our earth.

Global warming can make our earths temperature raise higher, because all of the Greenhouse gases wrap around our earth like a blanket and make our earth hotter kinda like impacting on our earth. When our earth gets hotter our ice bergs start melt, even  Antarctica is melting that not good for the animals that live on Antarctica. Antarctica is a habitat for animal so if we keep on releasing greenhouse gases our animals that live in Antarctica might not have a home. 

What can we do to stop global warming.

We can stop global warming by, not cutting down the tree, using renewable energy in stead of actual power, not burning fossil fuels, stop using cars that dose not burn fuel and use  cars that dose not require fuel, reuse water because we do not want to waste water. Fun fact did you know that only 1 percent of the earths water is clean. Remember to unplug your plugs from outlets in your home because you are most likely powering 65 different devices. 

We need to speak up 

Remember to speak up to your friends, family remember, random people about global warming, Its is important to tell them about global warming and what kind of affection it does to our planet. 

Doubling and halving

 

Kia Ora Everyone! For today's task I had to doubling and halving strategy to solve multiplication questions. 

I would definitely use this strategy again.

Kauri Tree

 

Today I finished off my reading from lockdown, focusing on a book called the "Kauri Tree". 

All I had to do was answer questions from the book, find words definitions and create an island.

Are you a good son or daughter?

 Are you a good son or daughter? Some kids aren’t sure if they are. This writing will give you some helpful tips on how to be a good son or daughter.

Helping around.

Parents it love when you help around the house, they especially love it when you do it without them telling you. You can do little things like picking up stuff from the ground, vacuuming, doing the dishes, etc. Helping around is truly a blessing to your parents. 

Being thankful.

 Parents do a lot for you, for example, put food on the table, shoes on your feet a roof over your head, etc. That is just a tiny portion of what they do for you. So say thank you, show gratitude. Maybe even give them a massage, or even make them tea or coffee in the morning. Your parents what to feel loved too.

Listening.

 One thing parents don’t like it when their kids don't listen to them. Listening means when you look at your parents like give them attention and actually process what they are trying to tell you, not letting it go through one ear and out the other ear. 

Now that you have read my three tips on how to be a good son or daughter because I’m sure that these tips will make your parents a whole lot happier.

He starts by purchasing 650 maths books, at $0.30 each. His total spend is:  

$0.30 x 650 = 195

$0.30 x 600 = 180 

$0.30 x 50 = 15

 

600 + 50 = 650 

$180.00 + $15.0 = $195.0

Next he spends $167.70 on rulers and protractors

Then he purchases 5 text books, which cost $26.50 each. The 5 textbooks cost:  132.50

Today for maths was a recap of what we have been learn for the past week or so. 

This task is also our last task for level 3 yay! This task also  made me understand what is a factor, multiple, etc.
