The Prime Minister came to PT ENGLAND SCHOOL

Greetings to you all!  Today the Prime Minister came and had lunch with our school. 

It was such a privilege having the Prime Minister at our school today. 

The reason why she came to our school was because room 21 sent her an email and a video of them saying how nice the lunch was, like some sort of review. Another reason why she came to our school was because she wanted to talk to us and have lunch with us. 

What did we have for lunch, you say? Well we had chicken teriyaki on rice with an apple and carrots and green beans.

The Prime Minister was very kind and super pretty. 

I really hope she comes back to this school sometime this year again !

Explanation Writing

 Is School important to you? Well if it isn’t, read this writing and rethink your answer!

I believe that school is important, the particular reason for this circumstance is that you can learn numerous stuff at school, e.g, economics, history, etc. The knowledge that you can get from these subjects helps to develop. Imagine as you were a caterpillar. It helps you evolve into a chrysalis and then when you finish school to turn into a beautiful butterfly.

Schooling also helps you with the future. If you want to be an investor you need to put money into your investment and you need to learn how to count money, and that's when mathematics and economics helps you. If want to be a doctor, engineer, etc,  You need to study very hard. To do this you need to go to School.

When you go to School you can learn sports, sports for eg, Netball, Rugby, touch, etc.

Some people learn Rugby at school and in the future, and they become professional rugby players. If you are a professional rugby player you can sign a rugby contract and you can earn money.

My final paragraph is about socialising, 

When you are at school/University or where ever you learn, you need to socialise with people.  Eg - Students, Teachers, Children. You can learn how to work with people and have a good conversation just to set you up for life. 

These are my there reasons on why school is important to me.

Welcome to my blog today for maths we had to so Number Visual. 

I was in a group with Waris, Simon, and Lucian. 

For this task, we had to put every object in groups. An example on our sheet is that pink ones were prime numbers. Then once we were done putting them into groups ( We didn't put all of them in groups cause we didn't have time ) we had to post it on our blog.

Superhero Secrets

 

Task Description: 

For this task I had to read a book called Superhero secrets by Hannah Sperber. 

I also had to answer some questions about the story I just read. Last thing I had to do is a  create task, for the create task I had to draw a superhero, the name that I choose for my super hero is Filisha.

Task Description: Today for math we had D-mic for D-mic we had to split up into groups of 3-4 to solve out the math problem. I was in a group of 3 with Oalii, Norah Jade and myself. My group solved it out wrong, before we did this math problem we had to watch a video. The video said that when we find a problem hard our you do it wrong your learning or your brain is grow, etc. So I guess my brain is growing now:)

Task Description: For this weeks task I had to do literacy with my math teacher. I had to read a story about the Key Game. Something I want to work on is to read through the book slowly:)

Quote painting:)

I made a quote painting.
I choose this quote because this quote was from the bible and I believe that the bible has the best quotes. 
I choose my background color to be white and blue with some stickers that were gold crowns because I think that those are ascetic colors and because when I look at my painting  it reminds me of heaven.  I was really creative with my painting because I didn't use a paint brush I used glad wrap. 

I am happy with my painting because I was creative with it and because my class mates said it looks unique.

Next time I will try and make it look more like a professional painted it.

This weeks literacy task was extremely long because it was about global warming. I had to delete 4 slides because I was unable to not do it. 
The task that that I did do required researching about global warming / Climate change  and to being patient.

Multiples and Factors

 

Task Description:  We are in level 3 now. This was one of the math works  I had to do during lock down.

Lock down is doing good but I can be pretty lonely:) For this task I had to use my brain to figure out what are the factors of 24 and 30. I also had to put 10 multiply of 2, 3,4 and 5. 

One think I need to work on is to not rush and take it slow.

Multiplication Magic 2.0

 

Task Description: Today I finished my task which was about multiplying 2 digit numbers. We learnt a special technique to figure out how to solve those 2 digit questions. We had to answer this word problems which contain different 2 digit multiplication equations using our new technique. Then we just had a little bonus slide of place value.

Dimic Lesson - 4,4's

 This weeks math, we had a Dimic lesson. There were lots of groups, I was in group with Hannah and Kristopher. Our Dimic lesson was fun and basic but very hard. We had to use 4,4's and use them with operations and equal a number from 1-20.  My team managed to do 7 of them.

Aitutaki

 

Task description:    

This week we had to create a presentation about Rarotonga, the island I was focusing on was Aitutaki. I had to create a presentation about Aitutaki. This presentation contains facts and etc. Then we had to design our presentation to make it presentable.

On a nice sunny day in bikini bottom, Spongebob was doing his laundry and he bruised his arm because his adorable snail threw a rock at him. 5 minutes later Sandy called and said she was eating Luau (coconut creamed spinach), Sandy thinks if you have or eaten something from any culture then your that culture. Because of that Sandy thinks shes Samoan. Spongbob got mad at her for being dumb and said “ Grrrr, I’m gonna teach that squirrel a lesson “. So he went and brought along his salu lima ( his one and only treasure ) to prove he’s the real Samoan. After teaching Sandy a lesson, Spongebob was planning to go to Samoa, the first thing he did was look at the globe to see how far it was.
